Rogers Place Arena, new home of the Edmonton Oilers, will be a multi-use indoor arena in Edmonton, Alberta. The facility will be used for ice hockey, other indoor sports, concerts, and events. Construction started March 2014, & is expected to open before the 2016–17 NHL season. It will have a seating capacity of 18,641 for hockey & 20,734 as a concert venue. The Rainy River project is an advanced-stage gold project situated in Richardson Township, approximately 65 km northwest of Fort Frances in Northwestern Ontario. The project contemplates a 21,000 tonne per day processing rate from a combination of open pit, underground and stockpiled ore. The project is expected to produce 325,000 ounces of gold annually.

The Canadian Museum for Human Rights is a national museum located in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The purpose of the museum is to "explore the subject of human rights with a special but not exclusive reference to Canada, in order to enhance the public's understanding of human rights, to promote respect for others and to encourage reflection and dialogue." It held its opening ceremonies in September 2014. The project consisted of approximately 7,500 gallons of A/D Firefilm III that was applied to the exposed structural steel.

The Bow is a 158,000-square-metre (1,700,000 sq ft) office building for the headquarters of Encana Corporation and Cenovus Energy, in downtown Calgary, Alberta. The building is currently the second tallest office tower in Calgary, and second tallest in Canada outside Toronto. The Bow is also considered the start of redevelopment in Calgary's Downtown East Village. It was completed in 2012 and was ranked among the top 10 architectural projects of 2012 in Canada. The project consisted of approximately 8,000 gallons of A/D Firefilm III that was applied to the exposed structural steel in the building's atrium spanning over 50 stories high.

Renovation and weld inspection for the O'Hare Airport Maintenance Building. This building warehouses and maintains all of the City's vehicles used to maintain the Airport. During a severe snowstorm enough snow fell on the roof causing a partial collapse of the roof. The roof was retrofitted with a huge tubular truss system so that the roof will never collapse again

Penetrating primer/sealer for use on concrete substrates and Carboline Pyrocrete Fireproofing products. It performs extremely well in sealing cementitious surfaces and is designed to receive a variety of different generic types of finish coats. Some recommended uses of 1340 include the use as a curing compound or form release agent. When applied to “green" concrete it will retard the escape of moisture during the cure period. It is also excellent for use as a form release coating on plywood or steel forms.

Carboguard 553 primer has significant improvements in film hardness and toughness over straight acrylic or acrylic-epoxy systems. It provides better chemical resistance and physical properties. This fast cure high build polyaspartic coating provides excellent corrosion protection as well as long term weatherability in just one coat. It can be applied direct to metal (DTM) at 6 to 10 mils dry film thickness (DFT) to eliminate the need for typical primers and/or intermediate coats. Carboxane 2100 FC is an isocyanate free, ultra-durable, fast-cure corrosion resistant coating that provides outstanding color and gloss retention for exterior exposures that exceeds many acrylic aliphatic polyurethanes. It combines the chemical resistant properties of epoxies with the weathering characteristics of acrylic-polyurethanes. This tightly cross-linked film results in a finish with outstanding barrier properties. It provides good corrosion protection and can be applied direct to metal (DTM) in exposures designated "urban to light industrial" (C1 - C4 according to ISO 12944). For improved corrosion protection it can be applied over approved primers. It is most often used as the finish coat of a 2 coat system utilizing a zinc-rich primer for maximum corrosion resistance and longevity. These 1 - 2 coat systems can eliminate the need for typical primers and/or intermediate coats to significantly speed up the painting process. This product meets the most stringent VOC regulations for field applied coatings of less than 100 g/l volatile organic content.

A water-based epoxy finish that is easy to apply, has an attractive high gloss appearance, and has very good chemical resistance. Sanitile 555 VOC has minimal odor and is less than 100 g/L VOC. It has significant improvements in film hardness and toughness over straight acrylic or acrylic-epoxy coatings and is more chemically and physically resistant. It is therefore ideal for more aggressive exposures on walls and structural components than acrylic-modified epoxies. It may also be used for light to moderate duty floors.

Training  

We started out offering a free corrosion school to customers who wanted a general understanding of the basics of corrosion. Over the years, our educational portfolio has expanded to include an industrial and commercial fireproofing school and a rail school.

In 2015, a brand-new training center was built at the Global Research, Development, and Innovation center in St. Louis, Missouri. The training center has a classroom and a large product application area equipped with spray booths so customers can get hands-on experience with Carboline products. We also have a series of on-demand webinars available for customers who cannot attend in-person sessions. A list of upcoming schools can be found here.
