ArmorPlast® AR Polycarbonate Sheet is an abrasion and UV resistant sheet that offers glass-like surface hardness coupled with the impact strength of polycarbonate. Additionally, ArmorPlast® AR Polycarbonate Sheet offers resistance from yellowing and hazing for longer service life in high-profile applications.
Typical applications for ArmorPlast® AR Polycarbonate Sheet include school, hospital, and retail store glazing. ArmorPlast® is also used extensively in correctional and psychiatric facilities.
This nonballistic (containment grade) glazing shield product allows bullet penetration but won't break down or appreciably diminish in strength. Although a glazing shield does not stop bullets, it resists cracking or shattering. Even after being riddled with bullets, it remains a barrier to entry because it cannot be easily dislodged and a would-be intruder's hand is prevented from passing through to open the door, keeping intruders out of the building.
Also ideal for retail smash and grab burglary protection.
Why Us?
In our collective decades of experience in retrofit security glazing, we were often disappointed with the options available to us for many of the unique window openings we were asked to secure. Over time, we began making our own custom solutions that adapt to the more difficult projects.
Riot Glass™ is a reliable, cost-effective product line specifically designed to secure vulnerable entry points like glass doors and windows without sacrificing visual appeal.
Riot Glass™ is a leading manufacturer of American-made security glass and door systems. Protecting stores, schools, and homes from threats is our business and our mission.

Who We Serve
In the best case scenario, this results in expensive cleanup, repairs, and glass replacement. In the worst case, it can result in loss of life and breaches of classified information.
This is why it's of the utmost importance to install some type of security glass for military and government facilities.
For any type of high-security facility, the proper security glazing mitigates the above threats to protect the property, its employees, and all the valuable equipment and information inside.
RIOT GLASS® BULLET RESISTANT GLASS FOR ACTIVE SHOOTER PROTECTION
Riot Glass® offers bullet-resistant glazing shields that are designed specifically with schools in mind. These glazing shields look and function just like standard window glass, but they can withstand ballistic attacks and prevent active shooters from gaining entry to the building.
Many of our bullet-resistant glass and glass-like security solutions for schools receive a ballistic resistance rating from Underwriters Laboratories (UL), which is a leading organization that rates all types of commercial safety and security products.
The highest level of bullet-resistant glazing we offer has a UL 752 Level 8 rating. This means that the panels can resist a high-speed, multi-shot attack from an active shooter using an AK-47 rifle loaded with .308 150-grain military rounds.
Our glazing shields can be applied over an educational facility's window and door glass to stop bullets and prevent an active shooter from shooting out a window and climbing through it, or shooting through a glass door to reach in and open it from the other side. We also offer fully-rated framing and ballistic doors in varying configurations.
Health care workers put their safety on the line every day to help other people get better. We're not just talking about exposing themselves to contagious illnesses and workplace accidents.
Unfortunately, violence against health care workers is much more common than you might think. It can be perpetrated by violent or mentally unwell patients, by frustrated visitors, or even by disgruntled former employees.
Having action plans in place is a great first step towards increasing hospital employee and patient safety, but they often fail to provide physical protection in the event of a violent incident.
There is, however, a very effective way hospitals can add more physical security: by reinforcing their glass doors and windows with security glass or glass-like security glazing products.
Violent hate crimes targeting places of worship are on the rise across the US. That's why it's so important for religious center leaders and administrators to start taking security seriously.
No one wants to imagine a peaceful Sunday afternoon service turning violent, but the reality is that it can happen anywhere. Churches, mosques, synagogues, and temples are all at risk of being targeted by active shooters looking to harm people because of their extremist beliefs.
Hate crimes targeting religious properties, such as broken windows and graffiti, are another threat that these types of facilities face. Though not as dangerous to the physical security of worshipers as other types of crimes, they can lead to unwanted costly repairs and cleanup.
A key concern that many religious center stakeholders have when it comes to beefing up security is that they do not want to inadvertently make it a less welcoming place for congregants. This is a valid concern, but there are ways to improve physical security without drastically altering the appearance or atmosphere of your facility.
Riot Glass® offers a wide variety of security glazing solutions for high-end and luxury retail stores. Our goal is to provide a higher level of protection for glass storefronts than anything else available on the market.
Riot Glass® is available in a variety of different compositions and strengths for retailers to choose from. You're sure to find something that can fulfill your security requirements.
If we do not have the specific framing or glass you require, we can make it in our custom manufacturing shop. Our metal artisans are world-class talents that can create the specific look and strength level needed to achieve your goals.
For storefront glass, we typically recommend access-denial glazing shields. These are virtually unbreakable and look and feel just like your standard storefront windows.
The only thing access-denial security glazing doesn't stop is bullets, but it won't break apart or diminish in strength even after being riddled with bullets. So, you can imagine how little luck a would-be intruder is going to have, smashing through it with a bat or a sledgehammer.
When a break-in or smash-and-grab attempt is met with Riot Glass®, the perpetrator is going to be very surprised when their efforts to smash your storefront glass are so effectively repelled. They're either going to move on to find an easier target or get caught by the authorities.
In situations where the authorities are delayed or preoccupied with other crimes, such as during a widespread riot, our glazing shields have been proven to keep intruders out for up to 1 hour of sustained aggressive attack.
Riot Glass offers Three Levels of Security Protection
Safety and Security Window Film
Time tested RG™ Safety and Security Window Film is a pliable polyester Mylar coating that is applied to the inside surface of your glass.
Laminated Security Glass
Riot Glass™ is an extremely robust laminated glass that features a tougher, much stiffer, and more resilient thermoplastic interlayer that outperforms regular laminated glass interlayers. You get all of the characteristics of normal glass and the protection of a formidable security barrier.
Polycarbonate Panels and Framing
ArmorPlast™ isn't glass, but a combination of acrylics, polycarbonate, and other plastics. Clear ArmorPlast™ panels are available in containment-grade, ballistic, and non-ballistic ratings.
Safety First from Day One
We ensure the installation process is minimally disruptive for you and your family. Unlike some contractors that may leave your home boarded up or without windows overnight, our team will remove and replace each glass panel individually as we go, so your existing panes will remain in place until we get to them. We do this in case we need to return the next day to complete your retrofit. Your home remains secured so that you can lock up overnight.
We promise to protect and respect your home's interior during your installation. Once we have completed the manufacturing of your windows, the installation process usually takes 1-2 days to complete.
Security Glass Retrofit for Homes
The strongest and least noticeable of these options is our security retrofit units, which replace your existing windows and door glass. High-security burglar-resistant glass makes forced entry into your home far more difficult for intruders.
Our retrofit units range in strength from laminated Riot Glass™ with our exclusive Thermoplastic interlayer to virtually unbreakable ArmorPlast™ panels.
Single or dual pane options can be custom made for your window openings, and in most cases your existing framing and hardware remain in place giving you unbreakable house windows without significantly altering aesthetics. The panels are made in our factory and installed on site with minimal inconvenience to you.
Hospitality businesses, such as hotels and restaurants, have the difficult task of protecting guests, customers, employees, and equipment from everyday threats — all without hurting the curb appeal or atmosphere of their establishments.
So, what threats do hospitality businesses face, exactly? Well, the most common risks are forced entry, burglary, smash-and-grab theft, vandalism, and rioting and looting. Other concerns are threats to personal safety like an active shooter scenario or a nearby bomb blast.
In addition to all these risks, hospitality business owners also have to worry about the possibility of storm damage (depending on where the hotel or restaurant is located).
